Yang Yi serves as the Chairperson of the Overseas Chinese Artists Association and is a member of the China Artists Association. He is a Chinese artist and curator based in New York, USA. His artworks have been featured and awarded in numerous solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally and have been published extensively. In 2015, he created a series of works entitled "Tribute to Heroes" and "Day and Night" to commemorate the American heroes of 9/11. These pieces were covered and reprinted by thousands of media outlets worldwide, including ABC Television, Daily News, SinoVision, South China Morning Post, and the English edition of China Daily, greatly impacting mainstream society. In 2019, Yang Yi received the Outstanding Artist Award from the New York State Assembly. In 2021, he participated in the "Boundless West-East: Walking with the Masters" special exhibition of internationally renowned artists. In 2022, he was invited to the "Century’s Promise" international exhibition of renowned Chinese artists. In 2023, he was awarded the Global Chinese Artists Golden Brush Award, further affirming his distinguished achievements and influence in the international art community.
